Just bought a used DT10 and the bottom ejector is out of time. It ejects early and so the hull actually pops into the breech face and back into the chamber. Anyone have a solution to fixing it other than sending it out to Cole's? I've pulled the ejectors and cleaned them and can see nothing wrong but it still ejects early on that one barrel. I hate that premature ejectulation! Gerry, esetter5@me.com

Try taking a couple of thousands off the down arm of the extractor. Go slow , use a stone not a angle grinder

Call Cole's and see if they can help you fix it over the phone. If not, don't screw around with it. Just send it to them and they will get it fixed right. JR

The easiest way to see how the ejector works is to remove the iron from the forearm. Assemble to the barrels and reciever. Trip the trigger (use snap caps or empties)and open the gun watching how the ejector fires. You can then modify(stone)the profile of the ejector trigger to open a bit later.(hull clearing the breach face) It's really quite easy. I've done in on several guns that I've bought barrels for.
