I cannot detect any traces of a cheekpiece. The stock has a very old repaired crack on the left side of the wrist. I assumed it happened when the stock was bent to give it a bit of cast-off, but there is nothing in the records about Greener doing it. The wood is slightly undersized, but the checkering is intact and the buttplate fits nicely. It makes me think that a lot of work was done on the stock, but that it was also done properly as an alternative to restocking. I sent a bunch of photos to Mr. Greener, as the gun has raised a few questions. It should be interesting! Cheers!
