I read the rules for posting in the doubles for sale forum. I have a question. Can a person who is a member of the forum with a FFl be considered an individual and able to post doubles for sale there?

My best guess is if you are selling as a regular part of your business it would be better not to post the items. I think the site is intended to provide an outlet for individuals making an occasional sale.

One member with a dealer FFL has received permission to post guns for sale there. He only posts a gun there occasionally. Another dealer posted about 100 in one evening and it was not well received. If you are a dealer you might contact the owner of the site - Dave Webber. You can go to his profile and send him a private message. His email address is in his profile also.

The rules as written at the top of the "For Sale" section are outdated - or at least they are enforced differently than what they are stated to be.

Best,

Mike

I am not an FFL dealer just an individual who was thinking of posting a double for sale. I noticed a very active FFL dealer from my state had guns posted. While reading the posting rules I didn't think this was allowed hence my question.

Several of us have noticed that, but that dealer is special, so no worries.

I think this "rule" should be looked at within reason. I do not think that just because someone holds an 01 FFL should disqualify them from posting guns for sale here.
What they want to avoid is, as stated above, a dealer posting his entire inventory and clogging up the forum. But if someone who holds an FFL has a gun that is of interest to the people on this board, and something is posted by that dealer on occasion, what is the harm in that?

I think you will find many scenarios where non-FFL holders post guns for sale more often than a small FFL holder with a small inventory. And many collectors may own more guns than a small FFL holders inventory.

I very rarely post a gun for sale here. Mostly because I do not like having to post photos on a 3rd party hosting site. It's a PIA. The ONE gun the past YEAR that I have posted here did get harassment from Ho Joe because I mentioned the gun was a consignment.
Dave had no issues with my posting. And the harassing posts were subsiquently removed from my posting. If anyone has any questions, just ask Dave.

$10 bucks can get you a long way in this place....it can get peoples posts removed (mines been deleted at least 15 or 20 times by the bO zO)....gives you the right to trash and tromp on other people (He's publicly trashed me several times when I've called him out...he's guilty that's why he goes insane when I mention him being a gun dealer laugh )

And to top it off the guy has more lame excuses than Carter had Liver Pills....like I'm selling this for a friends poor wittle widow or just doing this poor dumb fellow a favor. crazy

I say dealers like him should pay more money...at least 10% of the sale price.
