Hate to be the bearer of bad news but your restoration has ruined the value of the gun.

I did not restore for resale just for my personnel collection as i stated in my first post my dad passed this gun to me. Value is not important

I and still just trying to find out the year of manufacture and model for my records

Randy, my friend Guy owns the name to the Midland Gun Co. and can be contacted at blackhillbooks@hotmail.com . The records no longer exist thanks to Herr Hitler but he may be able to furnish more details. Lagopus....,.

I have a reprint of their 1933 catalogue and at that time their 'Best' Sidelock ejector sold for 50 ( around $77) and they still listed muzzle loading doubles for just over 3 (say $5)

In 1933, I think the pound was worth somewhere north of $4. By way of comparison, in 1936 a Churchill Imperial (what they called a medium priced sidelock) sold for 75 pounds in London.
