3/16" hex. Either a T-wrench or a ratchet/socket extension with 3/16" hex-head.

Does not a screw or bolt being turned by anyone other than CSMC void the warranty?

Good question Researcher. However the sidelocks are removable without tools and instructions to do so are in the owners book. They also will disable the auto safety, which is what I want to do, without charge.
As an added perk, any gun being returned to them is covered by their insurance according to their website. But, I do not want to lose the time in the middle of Florida quail season.

My problem is that I have hunted quail for more than ten years with an 1892 H&H with an auto safety that works in reverse in that you draw the slide back to fire.

Thanks again to John Roberts. The auto safety has been disabled.

The gun came apart and went back together quite easily. A nice piece of work.
