Orvis currently has a SxS that I am interested in purchasing. This is a big dollar purchase for me and I do not want a bad experience. Has anyone on this board purchased a gun from Orvis? Was the gun accurately described? Also, how much are they willing to come off the asking price?

Bought a nice little Francotte 16 a few years ago from the big O.

It was pretty well described, they readily answered all my questions [though I think a new chap is now in charge there?], and yes, the price was negotiable and also included a no questions asked 3 day return option.

Trade away.

Always looking for small bore Francotte SxS shotguns.

I can't remember John's last name, but he has been in charge in the Manchester, VT store for something like the past year. He seems to know guns and was one of their instructors for quite a while. Do as you would with anyone and get the terms down explicitly.
