Just got a NEW CZ 202-B Upland .410 SxS and the chambers are so tight you can hardly chamber a shell. I have a Browning Citori Lightweight that takes all of my hulls without a problem, but not the CZ. According to MEC, Lymans and SAAMI specs the sizing of a .410 base should be .478" minimum for 2 1/2" chambers and larger for 3". I have green Remington hulls with that diameter that don't even get pass the extractors. My Win (old style) and Federal hulls measure at .475 and will fit with a hard push BUT only in 1 barrel, can't load both barrels and difficult to remove. Even when you are able to load with Win (new style HS) @ .474" it is hard to remove after firing, I mean difficult. Chamber measures at .474". Anybody else have this problem? I'm going to check my other 410's for a comparison and will report back. My measurements may be off by .001 that's why the Federals fit with a hard push, not sure, but things are still to tight (using a micrometer & small hole gauge).
Thanks, YooperJ

I have a CZ Ringneck .410 and have no difficulty with reloads. The acid test is whether it chambers factory shells without a problem. You don't mention what type of shells (factory/reloads) are giving you difficulty. If these are reloads, the gun isn't the problem. CZ has pretty good service. A call to them might be a good idea.

Just measured my Browning O/U and older Spanish SxS, both had chambers at .480"-.481", well above the minimum. I'm going to call CZ now. Win HS were new and others were reloads that my Browning had no problem with.

My Tristar Brittany had tight chambers when I got it, so I hand reamed the chambers with a new 410 Finish Chamber reamer and lots of cutting oil. Did the trick and have not looked back. I also reamed the ejector hole, what a difference that made Mike

Just called CZ and rep said to send barrels in, I have 2 of these guns and they would run their reamer through it. Reamer is set to Saami Specs. Hope this cures the problem.
Thanks, YooperJ

Don't know if it applies to modern methods of reaming SXS's, but on some old mass produced guns (Ithaca M-37) when the chamber reamer started to wear out it cut tighter chambers. This was no problem when shell heads were true brass, but modern brass- washed steel heads don't digest well in these older chambers causing extraction issues.

Specs I have for a minimum .440 3" chamber call for .463" diameter at junction with cone & .005" per inch taper. This would thus give a .015" enlargemet over the 3" or .478 at rear. This is of course Minimum. Maximum cartridge is only about .001" less than the minimum chamber. If your measurement is accurate your chamber would appear to be .004" undersize definitely enough to cause some problems.

Maybe if you send both entire guns they will send them back with useable triggers too.
Incredible.
A new gun you can't even get a shell in.
But, just bash Turkish guns here... they come out of the walls to defend them.

And some come out of the woodwork to bash them. The man asked for some information that might help him with his problem and he gets what?, from you, a post that does no more than belittle him for buying a Turkish made gun. Everybody gets it, you have no use for them. Okay. This seems to be a common issue with Turkish .410s, YooperJ. My Yildiz has tight chambers, too, but chambers factory rounds just fine. Nobody, including you I'll bet, expects a $500-$600 Turkish gun to be the equivalent of an American or Italian $1800 gun. But, the few on here who are hell bent on bashing them seem to think that those who choose to buy a Turkish gun expect English best quality. Well, they/we don't. They should get over it. SRH
May God bless America and those who defend her.

A guy I used to shoot with bought a CZ .410. Similar issues. Would not chamber his reloads, nor one brand of factory shells. Sent the gun back. In his case, they sent him a new gun. Whatever you think of Turkish guns, CZ does have a good reputation for customer service.
