Hello all. In the Autumn 2014 edition of the Double Gun Journal, on page 97, there is a wooden contraption that the gun is leaning on. Anybody know what that thing is?

Looks to be some kind of vintage toy or game where a marble is allowed to roll down the jointed ramp.... the object of the game or purpose of the toy...? Who knows...?

yes- that ones a little fancier - this one was made for my wife and her sister by a blind neighbor when they were kids. All the electronics aside- our granddaughters go straight to it first thing when they get in the house.

That is neat, especially the blind neighbor connection. I have a client who is completely blind and is a welder by trade and an avid hunter. He kills big game quite often with rifles he holds and his helper tells him when and where to shoot by looking through a pistol scope mounted on the barrel like a scout scope would be. Guys like that inspire me.
