What a beautiful piece of wood. Your stocker did an amazing job on it. Any idea why Arrieta only did a partial job on it?

What grade is the gun? How hard is it to get them to send a gun unfinished? Is there a cost saving? Thanks for the pictures and reply.

Brian, Very pretty. Let me guess-you are going to put 1 oz loads in it and shoot ditch parrots at 40 yards (Just Kidding!!!!!) Use it in good health, or, sell it for more money than you have into it, and buy something really useful, like another 16. Best, Ted

The gun is a 570. I really don't know why Arrieta sent the gun unfinished. I know my friend was very upset with their wood work.
Ted, no 1 ounce cannon fodder for this one. You are looking at a quintessential dove gun. 3/4 ounce only.

Nice gun Brian. The wood seems unusual for a Euro gun to me. Looks very much like West Coast grown English to me. Maybe there's no difference in Euro and US West Coast English? Pete, where are you?

Chuck,
I agree. it looks like the kind of wood we see custom riflemakers using on mausers
In Weiland's book he states that the Spanish buy wood from all over the world including California (west cost)
