While this has been posted before sometime last year, here's a man who bought 46 gun lube/cleaner/preservative products and did extensive comparative testing on several fronts:

It was the result of this independent evaluation of gun care products that caused me to make the switch from Eezox to Frog Lube. Great product at a reasonable price, given the many benefits this product provides.

I used CLP until a couple of years ago. I started using it when my life depended on it. My friends in the special ops community now recommend FrogLube for the same reason. I now use FrogLibe on everything from my 1911s to my J. Dickson and son Scottish round action.

Seal CLP is the new version of Frog Lube, it's orange and has been reformulated to address super low temperature issues with frog lube.

Listen to Ted about WD40!
If used as a rust preventative with multiple applications, the varnish buid up will cause functioning problems.
Do you wonder about all the claims these miracle products make?
They are all based on the preposition that the claims can't be proved nor can they be disproved and the buyer is responsible to verify the claims.
The real burden lies with the maker of the claims but they NEVER supply objective testing results for their conclusions.
I continually read all the hype for these different products and frankly the FrogLube application process sounds like a LOT of unnecessary labor.-Dick

Not likely to find negatives posted on the manufacturer page, some other threads may help:

More so than some cold weather issues there's apparently an issue with it becoming sticky and or gummy if excess is not wiped off before being stored for a while. I use Seal 1 which is a later formulation and appears not to have these issues.
