Sadly a fine old Purdey SxS was converted from a splinter to beaver tail forend and the metal collar that goes around the Anson push rod and the engraved metal inlay lost. I would like to put this right but am at loss how to obtain the "parts". I did talk with the people at Purdey's and they said that everything is one of a kind/hand made and I would have to export the gun to them and have another forend made (ouch) and re-import to my agent. I did contact AYA and the Armis Garbi people and they can provide the parts "in the white" Are there any other thoughts from the knowledgeable people out there?
