Maybe I'm the "sucker that's born every minute", but that looks like more than a $360 gun.

You are correct a guy emailed me that pic and I saved it as Im looking to bye the skb. sorry about the mix up. I paid 450.00 and I wouldnt sell it for that. I have read they were hand made belguim guns! I also know they are rare try to find one? I had the chokes gauged and the guy tells one one is improved modified and the other skeet 2. regardless of value it is a good looking old gun. Maybe its not worth what I paid, but the kids can fight over it with the rest when Im gone!

Thought it looked a little odd for a Webley 700 so that explains that as it was a modified copy of the 700. By the by it has a broken extractor guide leg .

Chalk the mark in the square highlighted area on both tubes & capture an image. Looks like the initials LD.

Kwalley, keep in mind that price and value are not interchangeable. Price is when a willing and able buyer and seller agree on a value. Your price is certainly well within a range of reasonable values. If you had paid $300 you would have a bargain. $1000 and you would need more "schoolin'".

Note that "hand made" and "rare" are not necessarily hallmarks of a fine or expensive gun. The Belgians did a lot of "handmade" because the couldn't afford the machines and desperately needed the jobs. There are a considerable variety of "rare, handmade" Belgian guns simply because they failed the test of time. These guns have been refered to as a class as JABC (just another Belgian clunker). Your gun does not at all fall into this category.

I do hope you enjoy it.

You have what appears to be a decent boxlock gun from a little known Liege maker. The Brand Value level of this maker is four (little known Continental maker), BV4. The gun is looks to be between a second and third grade which for a box lock makes its Original Quality grade seven point five, OQ7.5 for an ejector and OQ8.5 for a non-ejector. I'd rate Current Condition level as level five, CC5 (minor repairs needed or a proper restoration accomplished). I think it has undergone a reasonable level of restoration.

BV4-OQ7.5-CC5 = $565 and BV4-OQ8.5-CC5 = $360. It is likely a sound shooter, but not a high value gun.

I'd say that's on the money. So is Rocketman's distinguishing between price and value.
