Is this the same gun you featured in a previous post that was neither a Beesley or a Purdey by serial number?
Both Churchill and Robertson/Boss did ejector conversions to early Beesley/Purdey extractor Guns before and after the Wem ejector was offered by Purdey. I have never examined either conversion. There may have been others who I am not aware of that performed this work.
If this is the same gun as the xxxx number gun you delighted us with before, I don't think Purdey after the time the Wem was offered, and Beesley/Purdey extractor guns were converted to the Wem ejector, would have brought the gun into the factory. Oh my!
Do you think the shiny metal loops are a recent replacement for an older original part? How well do the ejectors work?
It's nice to have a real mystery!
