Can anyone direct me to sources of information about this particular Greener?

You need Graham Greener's book "The Greener Story". The M grade guns have ejectors in the forend. The action may be an Anson & Deeley or the proprietary Facile Princeps.
I think most had Baker patent ejectors but I believe Southgate ejectors may also be found.
Post some photos for more info.

Hammergun, Thanks for the reference. The reason I asked is because an acquaintance of mine is considering the purchase of the above-referenced gun from a local gun shop, and is trying to establish a fair market value. I volunteered to help him, but I can't find anything. It's a 12 ga. in what I would consider as "shooter" condition. Would you offer a WAG as to value?

Not sure by what you mean by M Grade or Model. Do you mean the Monarch ? They came in most Grades . I have a Monarch Imperial 70 Guinea gun. At least to me , preferable to the Facile Princeps. Ejectors are more easily serviced, too.

Daryl, I have seen, but not disassembled the gun. According to the prospective buyer it has an "M" stamped on the watertable. I'll make it a point to further examine the gun tomorrow and report back. Is there anything that will give a clue as to the grade?

Usually, I have seen the grade marked on the trigger guard tang. Something like G 70 for a 70 Guinea G action gun. That gun would have a Gold Crown and a Scepter on the top lever and would signify an Imperial grade. A Gold Crown only would be a Royal Grade and at the same period of time would be a G 60.

A lot were marked "Grade M" on the guard. M being for Monarch.
As far as value, Monarchs were made anywhere from lightly engraved 25 guinea models all the way up to 70 guinea models and Imperials.
We need good close-up photos of the action, forend, and pictures of the action flats. And most of all, make sure the barrels have good wall thickness and no obvious dents or other defects.
