i have bought a copy and read about a third so far. Very well written, very insightful into 1860s hammer gun development and lots of original material.

David self-published this and is selling signed copies of the limited first edition. It is hard-back full-colour and nicely produced.

I recommend it to anyone interested in the era, the type of gun and English gun making history - especially the period covering the 1860s and 1870s.

I went to the book launch in York castle museum a couple of months ago. It was well attended and there were some Horsley family members there.

Like all of David Baker’s books this is well worth a read.

The museum also produced some Horsley guns from the vaults for viewing. A private viewing of the many guns in the Museum can be arranged for those who are interested.

Gentlemen, I have always been a big fan of Thomas Horsley so I am really interested in this book. Where can you purchase it?
All the best
