Anyone going to go to it? I'm considering it, it's not too far from me.
If anyone decides to go, I can meet them and bring my barrel wall thickness gauge and my endoscope for proper tube evaluation.
Regards Ken

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

Yeah,
There are pictures on Proxybid, but not very detailed. Decent selection of Parkers, grades one through three. Including hammer, hammerless, and lifter. Several other interesting doubles as well, including both an Ithaca 1 1/2 and 2.

And a Herter's A-5 knockoff, serial #00001, in the box. Could this be George Herter's personal gun?

Interesting thought. Looks like the type of auction where treasures may be hiding in boxes. I'd like to have a copy of "How to live with a [censored]". I buy Herter's stuff whenever I run accross it, I used to wear out the catalog when I was a kid. I was even going through my fly boxes the other day and realized I still have quite a few of their flies, bought in the mid-1970s.

Firearms might be a new product for Hilpipre Auctions. I used to do a bit of buying at their auctions. They always sold Heavy Equipment and Industrial Machinery. They conducted the auctions in three piece tuxedos and could tell you anything you needed to know about a mill or lathe. They could also operate them. But, this is the first time I have seen them associated with a firearms auction. I am sure there will be a learning curve.
My $.02,
John

That's my hometown. I think I ended up with a Lebeau Courally boxlock they originally auctioned after a Waterloo lawyer I knew passed away. But it didn't come into my hands until after it showed up in the inventory of one of the fine doublegun dealers.

Laryy was your lebeau a guild gun or was lebeau the maker? I have seen two of these and I'm not sure lebeau actually made them.

Mine was definitely a Lebeau. In a Huey case, no less.
