I'm posting a couple of pictures of a Francotte sidelock thanks to Ted S. These are via jpgbox so this is a test.

The first is a photo of an extension that I did on the gun simply because it was way to short for me (14 1/4") with a 1/4" spacer and a 1" pad. The spacer wood was from a cut-off that I had and has a pretty good color match. It actually looks better in person than in the picture. NO, I'm not going to paint the stock! It is what it is until I have free time to restock the gun. That may be never.

The second picture is the right side lock from the gun. It is what it is and has not been cleaned and polished. The picture is just for those who may be curious as to what one looks like.

I have a small bore SLE Francotte in at the moment. It is a best quality gun in every regard, just beautiful stuff. So is that one by the way.

Why would anyone go to KY to drink Scotch when they make Makers Mark there? The bourbon triail is worth the trip alone. Scott in KY. Next thing you will be going there for field hockey instead of basketball or the Derby.
