Got my Smith back from Ken Hurst the other day, and each time I look at I'm amazed at the man's talent. If you were at the Southern, you might have seen it on Ken's table.
As I wrote on the Smith board, I feel truly blessed that it was Mr. Hurst I first contacted (quite by accident) about upgrading a field grade Smith to something I'd treasure (my only artistic input was to have one of my beagles on each sideplate). He ramrodded the project, and I'm sure his advice helped me both financially, and artistically. His advice led me to Classic Guns for metal work, and Doug Mann for wood magic. Doug is about to receive the gun for the final step.
If you have any questions I might be able to help with, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm already on the lookout for a similar type project gun for my son's 2010 high school graduation gift.
