I looked at several new SKB shotguns today, both O/U's and Sxs's. All were marked as made in Omaha, NE. I thought all SKB doubles were made overseas?

Jerry, The Omaha, NE is SKB USA, the importer. If you examine them more closely, you should find "Made in Turkey" and unless they've changed from the same manufacturer as your Dickinson.

Is nothing sacred anymore ? Even Japanese shotguns are made in Turkey. At least my Turk gun is an honest Hatsan. I wonder, who makes the Hatsans of the future ? O.M

Lower to middle income bracket guys don't want or need a battery of shotguns. They want or need only one and usually its a pump. Similar to when I was growing up guys just had only one rifle, a Winchester Model 94 in 30-30.
At least the Turks are keeping the double somewhat competitive.

Well, they don't need anymore than one shotgun.
A lot of guys I know still only have the one shotgun, a 12 gauge Ithaca Model 37.
They're so damn light that they throw a recoil pad on for waterfowl and take it off for grouse hunting.

I was joking blokes. My Father had one gun which he rarely used. I used it more than him & mainly on Sunday when he went to church. I would get that Berretta out & shoot Grandpa's shells through it. All the time merrily thinking that they knew nothing. Ahh,the joys of farm boys. O.M
