Anyone familiar with "ZS" barrel steel that was sometimes used by British gunmakers for barrels between the Wars?

I recall there being a recent discussion on a British Z gunbarrel steel, but I can't put my fingers on the thread for the moment. I'll keep diggin'.....

Thanks for the feedback, Raimey & Wildcattle.

I believe it to be some form of fluid steel. For sure found on some of the higher end Greener's between the wars. I thought I had seen it with other makes too though.

This one is stamped YJ.
