Hello,

I am almost done with the cleaning of my JP Sauer and Sohn Model 60 Deluxe 12g SxS, and ran into an issue. I've gotten some advice, and am at a point that will involve shipping and repair work, I think.

What I was curious about is if anyone else here is familiar with the JP Sauer & Sohn Model 60 Deluxe's single trigger, or if it looks like another companies approach to a single trigger.

It is based on the A&D boxlock.

I am trying to embed photos here, but am not sure if it will work:

Does this look familiar? If so, can you name another maker who used this type of design for a single trigger?

the issue, by the way, is that the left trigger 'sear' wiggles so much left/right at the tip near the trigger that the left trigger doesn't release/fire.

my thoughts were that the sear lever part needs to be removed and modified.

My thought for the modification is that one of two things needs to happen:
professional 'tweaking/bending' of the curved tip area of the sear lever to move it toward the centerline more, and then retemper as appropriate.

micro-welding of the sear.
Either at the tip end where it touches the trigger's lifting block [my term- I invented it. No one else can use it! :)] to make that tip extend toward the centerline for positive engagement, or some form of adjustment to the body of the sear lever where it goes through the frame, to remove the side-to-side 'wiggle' that allows the sear to be 'set' on the hammer, but have the tip too far from the centerline to be engaged by the trigger.

I KNOW there are other options, such are 'replace the sear lever', but I can't find any parts that match up.

So, does anyone recognize this trigger system? If so, what is it?

Thanks in advance.

Classic 'field' SxS's are what draw me in- that way I can have more than one!
