I am involved in a deal for a 20 g. SLE Gogswell and Harrison -- I now their reputation is "mixed" and guns vary in quality. The gun in question is SN 685XX.
ANyone hazard a gues as to when it was made - I think 50's - 60's but not sure.

British Gunmakers only has serial numbers through 1953. The last one it lists is 66,632 so your prospective gun would likely only be a few years later...

Cman, which model Coggie? I have C&H ad copy from the early 60's. It shows 3 SLE models: Victor De Luxe and Victor (both hand detachable) and Huntic. There's also the Konor, but that's a boxlock with false sideplates. (I love the C&H term for those: "ornamental strengthening plates".)

C'man, for comparison: The Victor went for $1680 and the Huntic for $1260 in 1963.
