Just looked at a Parker Trojan 12 ga #221 and I can't remember the last 3. It will not break down with forearm off and cocked. Snap it, take the forearm off and the bbls will slide right off.

I have seen 2 other parkers with the same problem.

whats the problem and what's the fix?

Also, it locks up tight as the proverbial bank vault, but the top lever goes mushy to the left of center. Feels like a spring broke in there?

Thanks

Charlie

Cocking slide is probably bound up with mush. Who cares whether the lever goes mushy to the left of center? It isn't supposed to go there. Sounds like it needs to be disassembled and cleaned.

Thanks

the guy said he had never had the bbls off in the past 40 yrs, so yeah, your probably right on. Couple dings in the bbl, chip off the forearm, only the buttstock shows remaining finish ... Excellent bores, locks up tight... good rainy day shooter.
