John, just wanted to let you know that your old RBL is still crushing the targets. Just won HOA SXS at the Western Open at Top Gun in Mt Vernon WA. Shot a 45/50. Thanks again for letting me be it's new steward. John Wilgus

Way to go, John. I always smile when I see someone in Hunter Class best the whole field.

Thanks for the update, John. For those interested, the gun is a heavy-frame RBL12 w/32” barrels, low vent rib, pg, btfe, with super nice wood, 8 lbs 11oz. It is a modern Bo Whoop.

It was either the first or second nation sporting clay's championship was won by a shooter using a Browning A5. That also is a hunting gun to my way of thinking. Once again, it is the Indian, not the bow or arrow which hits the target. But I keep buying another bow or arrow anyways.

I recall in Nash's writings of him telling of the first round of skeet he ever shot. To my recollection he had been Up-East on a waterfowl shoot. May have been Chesapeake Bay, not sure now. Skeet had just been introduced & he was invited to shoot a round. Only had Bo-Whoop with him. He used it, with of course appropriately loaded shells, not his 3" #4 Luballoy, & proceeded to break 25 straight.

Very similar to Jon saying "It's the Indian" Nash was noted for saying "You first Have to Hit". It truly doesn't matter what one is shooting if they Miss the Target.

KY, it was the first SC National. Boy has the game and guns come a long way since then.

John, just won the Washington state sxs championship with the RBL. Shot a 44/50 to take HOA. Gotta post it here, because they don't post the Hunter Class scores on Winscore. Thanks again John Wilgus

Outstanding work with “my” RBL12, John. You shoot it better than I did for sure. The Big Gun.
