Upon closer visual inspection looking down along side the barrel I can see the bulge same ring as inside, I dont need to get out the dial indicator. Off to the scrap pile

I think scrapping it is the safest thing to do. However, you don't have to pay full MSRP for a factory new barrel, if you don't want to. Get busy shopping.

Iaido,

You made the smart chioce. Watch Ebay and several of the auction sites for a barrel for your gun. Given time you should find one for a reasonable price. I would rather spen my money on another brrel than have anything happen with the old barrel. The second failure might be a little more dramatic than the first.
