Hi All,
It is a 12g Diamond grade that came with a very dried out collapsed kind of red Hawkins pad. I have not dated the gun but suspect it is older than the pad which is not original I am sure but since it is there I would like to replace it with another. The LOP to the wood is 13 5/8" so I need a pad for my LOP anyway. I use slip-ons but only if I have to. I know it is heretical but I don't care for leather pads. Please be so kind to give your opinions or suggestions as what should be done.

I have a few NOS Hawkins 'heart' pads if that is of interest. Size required???

The earliest I see in my catalogs the Jostam pads is around 1915. Probably a bit late for an original application on a Lindner source gun. Pads offered earlier than 1915 included the Silver and American Silver [Goodrich].
