I have an ithaca grade 4E NID made in 1931. It's a very tight gun in probably 80% condition with minimal case color, double trigger, ejectors, splinter forend, solid rib, 30 inch full and mod barrels. I have the origional tag and a copy of sales form from ithaca along with a copy of the ithaca gun record page for this gun. I'm considering posting to sell, can anyone tell me a price range of what i should ask for this gun. I realize that more detail may be needed so let me know if i can provide any other info. also if anyone can tell me how many were made and any other information.
thank you,

Scott

MHO $2500 tops and maybe less depending on condition "details".

I would start it at about $10,000, since the 28 bore, in 4E, is rather scarce.MDC

I have seen what you describe in the $2,000.00-2,500.00 dealer price, "list price" range. That is for a 12 gauge. Small bore would bring more. If the stock is real short expect the lower figure at best. What they ended up selling for most likely was a little less than this I suspect. NIDs just do not get the heavy buyers interest like Parkers, Smiths or even a Fox. Shooter NIDs go wanting a buyer for less than $400.00 while a Sterlingworth would be sold almost at once for that money.
