Anyone have comments on the Tulsa show? I had a good show , but noticed the buyers were mostly dealers and did not have much interest from the public on some nice doubles fairly priced. Any general comments?

It was a strange show. Attendance was noticeably down. A long time vendor said it was the slowest in 20 years. I bought several and sold several. Lesser guns being sold on Friday and Saturday and better guns sold on Sunday. I have only been doing the show about 5 years and I would say the only constant is change. Some are better for selling some are better for buying but so far they have all been worth the trouble for me.
I think they need to look at changing the date. It conflicts with several opening days in the region and this year there was a major College football game to compete with.

April October would be better as there is too much s stuff going on in Nov. I had a good show, but it was noticeably slower particularly on Sunday or some reason. I just had weird stuff that sold.Any way to find out what the attendance was.?

I had, arguably, the best show Ive ever had there. I have sold more in the past, but I traded 6 guns Ive had for years for 3 fantastic guns and put a deposit on what I think was the best shotgun at the show!

I help out at a local shop here in Central Oregon. He just bought a couple collections of antique guns (mainly Winchesters and Marlins). He also took the non-magnum rifles which are a slower sale here. He sold 127 guns. We have lower prices out West than back East in Tulsa. We buy few there for that reason but did trade for a fair number. Friday is the best day (always) as we sell mostly to other dealers.
