I just bought a James Lang pigeon gun that was built in 1891, and on the barrel flats there is a trade mark I've never seen- its crossed hammer guns with "trade" on one side and "mark" on the other, right where the guns cross. I have a pic, but still can't get them to load now that photobucket went to poop. Any ideas? I was thinking perhaps the barrel makers mark, similar to Sir Joseph Whitworth's wheat sheaf.

Is it some form of lets make it look like the old British BSA Logo?

It's on a best grade James Lang hammer pigeon gun finished in 1891. Perhaps the gun was sourced in the white from BSA?
