Seems like the Spaniards set off loads by hand, no hiding in the next room and pulling the trigger with a string like the Brits.

I'm not sure the video showed actual proof testing, by hand. The shell used appeared to be a run of the mill load out of a commercial box of shells, and certainly did not recoil like one would suspect a proof load to.
Enjoyed the video ....... just not sure we should assume too much from it.
