With regrets have listed couple of rifles for sale at NECGS (used guns): My .30'06 Remington Springfield customized in the 1950's by former Winchester employee named Crowley, a target shooter of some note at the time; also 8 by 56 1908 Mannlicher with scarce Lyman 36 receiver sight (dies, cases, original ammo). Please ask any questions. [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img]

newenglandcustomgun.com has photos and info. I just noticed that the Mannlicher description sez "sale pending," so maybe gone @ $2150. Springfield still listed @ $975. Thanks for your interest.

Just found a 1987 invoice-letter from Creighton Audette to me describing rebarreling this rifle with a Douglas stainless blank. He would send stainless out for "blacking."

Now offering (at NECGS) my Sharps-Borchardt Express Rifle made in 1994 by Monarch Tool Co. .45-110-2 7/8" with matted 26" barrel. Argus Barker believes this may be the only rifle of this configuration that he has made. I added MVA tang sight, and have never fired the rifle, but I am not the original owner. Excellent condition. Will try to add photo here.....

I will never look at NECG used guns again. What poor pictures! EDIT! I must have been doing something wrong. Now I can see better good pictures.

https://www.newenglandcustomgun.com/proddetail.php?prod=2650I thought I would add a link for the .30'06 Springfield (high number Remington) I am selling through NECGS. When Creighton Audette added Douglas stainless barrel, I believe he plated the barrel with iron so it could be blued? The stockwork is very good quality, but would benefit from refinishing since I hunted with the rifle for many years. Managed to intercept a few careless deer. Receiver is tapped for scope mounts. Please ask any questions.
