I picked this up at a gun show today. I could not resist. I was wondering what you can tell me about this firearm and gunmaker. Before you start, let me review what I think I know about it based on the markings. I am fine with corrections but at least I want to put in the effort as you guys always do the "heavy lifting".

The gun was made by E. List in Gotha Germany based on the rib. Has anybody heard of him before?
12 ga based on the "12" in a circle
1927 manufactured date based on the "CH" after the S/N.
Bore dia .719 - .729 based on the 13/1 marking on each barrel at proof
Smoothbore - Crown over S
Choked - crown over W
Final proof - Crown over U

My questions are:
What does the 10.13 mean and below that the 484.
Under the 484 is another proof mark?
On the under rib there is a 10.02 and 283?
Is there any place that tells me how the gun was choked?

I also see on the outside of the barrels it says Nitro so was the gun reproofed for Nitro? Could the 484 represent April 1984 for when it was re-proofed?

Also it is missing a buttplate. Is there any source to find an appropriate butt plate for this style gun?

Thanks in advance and here are some photos

10.13 is actually the date of Oktober 1913 when it passed thru the Zella-Mehlis proof facility. 484 is number 484 for the month of Oktober.

If you look on the lower rib to there is a stamp of what looks to be a 10.02(very early for a Z-M date) over 288 which would be Oktober of 1902 being number 288 for Oktober to pass thru the Zella-Mehlis proof facility. So the longarm has some unique history.

Thanks everybody for your reply so to make sure that I understand correctly. The barrels were originally proofed October 1902 and then again in October 1913? Would that be where the nitro proof came from?

Yes, exactly. Good catch on the Z-M Nitro proof and it warranted an extra fee. Must have been a conscientious hunter or shooter as I don't see a repair proof??

You know, I have viewed the initials >>CH<< on a Lindner(this one has the Lindner bump on the forend as noted by Jtpumb), Sauer, or similar early Anson & Deeley Body Action. I would say it to be the Actioner, Frame Filer or maybe even Schloßmachermeister??

I would hazard a guess something like Caspar Hoffmann, or another Carl H., Caspar H. Z-M mechanic with actioner by his name? I'll have to study a bit.
