found a old damascus hammer gun 12 bore number 11539, Twin ports firearms?? Can not find much about this gun except it may have been made in Duluth Minnesota?? any of you sages have any info, I am sure it was a hardware gun..but would like some info. thanks

This is a tough one. You have to start at the beginning.
1. Look for proof marks on the bottoms of the barrels and on the action.
2. Look for any other marking which might indicate a manufactures logo.
3. Look of any other markings.

I have a double with Spanish proof marks and 20 ga. info that I never have determine who the maker was.

Thanks rp, I bought it for 100 bucks at a pawn shop, locks extremely tight, looks not to have been used much at all, no proof marks, just the numbers and twin ports arms co. stamped on both sides, I am sure it was made for the duluth Minnisota market by some maker, probably will never know. loaded a shell with just a primer and it fired them with no problems..so may take it out on some dove with some 21/2 shells....
