Reeks of Quality with the locks & tubesteel. Has to be some clue, somewhere? Serbus, Raimey rse

My wild guess would be for one of the Boys Defourny like A.J. Defourny & similar to his Modèle Super B but I believe it was a bar action. Maybe Guillaume Defourny - Sevrin??

Anyone aware of the 'crown' motif used by the engraver? Shows up on both locks, bottom receiver, top snap. Barrels are choked 0.017 U, 0.041 O.

I am not, but I would hope that this passes by the eye of Jani & Mr. Neuberger?

Belgian O/U This is a generic Liege Over/under. Following makers had it on offer in their catalogues: Lebeau-Courally,Forgeron,Duchateau,Defourny,Christophe. A Forgeron has been on offer some years ago in the French Internet naturabuy.fr, Springer/Vienna sold one similar years ago under its name but of Belgian origin. The 3-pointed crown is simply a deco-element , aristo crown start with five-pointed crown for "Baron". Who built it ? Recommend you to contact the Liege gurus in littlegun.be, they could possibly identify the maker based on the proof-year q for 1938 and the serial nr visible on the action body. ... I met Auguste Francotte end 70's, he would have needed 3 seconds to identify it, but he is gone since long. The Francotte manager of the 90's De Stoop is gone... ... Possibly the barrels had the retailer name on it, but with reblacking removed. I do not know any Liege oldie.... .. Good luck .. F.N.

The Belgians made(make) guns "for the trade" also. The retailer likely just didn't (or couldn't) add the company name. Mike
