Thought this article in ShootinUK by Richard Atkins would interest those shooting higher loads in light doubles.
Great explanation of the performance of a lighter load.
For me it is 19 grams in a 28 or 14 grams in a 32 on woodcock and grouse.

See the deformed buckshot at about 7:00.
It is a 410 with 5 pellets of OOO buckshot, but I presume the crushing effect is likely similar even with a load of 7½.

Of course, as Ricard says, more is better, just not as much as one would think.
