I know I am new here and many have been here for quite some time. I also know that friendships and rivalries develop over time. However, it would SURE be nice if those that have developed an.......unfriendly relationship would keep their personal objections to themselves (or at the very least spar over PM's) rather than soiling threads with your personal vendettas towards certain members. I get that not everyone gets along but many of us come here to learn and share experiences with GUNS, not to witness pissing matches between feuding members. Yes, I am a few whiskeys into the evening and may regret bringing this up and I understand that I am at risk of being ostracized for bringing this up (being so new to the forum) but, seriously, can we keep the personal insults OUT of every thread that comes up. I doubt that I am the only one that finds the schoolyard antics between certain members annoying and NOT helpful. Not looking for rebuttals or excuses like "well HE started it". How about we all act like adults and leave the personal name calling to the kindergarten kids.

There are those here who will prevaricate till they rouse a response. I put most on ignore, and tolerate a very few. I may miss the odd nugget of useful info, but so be it. I don't try to regulate others, it is an exercise in futility.

Licensed to kill has not had nearly the number of whiskeys that some of our posters have had before they post. Notice his correct grammar and punctuation, as well as error free spelling.

Canadians are fragile and do not like conflict. They like to get along at all costs, ignoring human nature. Americans are used to competition and rivalry so the odd comment every now and then is water off a ducks back.
Not trying to rouse a response but my opinion as I grew up in Canada

I concur with LTK. I block and ignore. I think the quality of the forum to be slipping because of the sniping. Im afraid that the arguments drive away readers and contributors lowering the value of information that this forum is known for.

Not way off topic but actually on point.
It's a reason many have left entirely for more civil and better moderated forums or seldom post anymore. It should be a gathering place to share information and experiences and to learn. Nothing wrong with a little crosstalk or opinion on non-firearms related issues, but some feel the need to infect every thread with nonsense and insults, no matter the subject.
If some of these folks spent as much time shooting and hunting as they do on pettiness and personal attacks, they would be much happier.

It’s a shame what had happened to this once valuable resource. Years ago some of the best craftsmen in the world hung out here. Much knowledge could be gained just for the asking. The toxic personalities here drove them away. The lack of any moderator made it possible. This place has become an empty shell of what it once was.
