12 gauge Zamacola Hermanos SLE. I am not familiar with this manufacture. I have only seen pictures.
I have read everything I can find on line but still don't know much about this gun.
I would appreciate any information on this manufacture and the quality of their SLE models.

It has hand detachable locks so hopefully the vendor will allow you to take them off to examine the standard of finish of the locks.

I have its identical sister.
Mine has a Miller Trigger
It has proven a wonderful gun.

The price point of this manufacturer set the quality

Some were POS and others much better

Could I be so bold and inquire as to the sellers price?

Thank you
Mike

H*1 is the date code for 1962
H over Z on the L action flat is the maker's mark

I looked but could not find a period Zamacola catalog

Nice looking gun!

As you probably know, it's been restocked with a nice stick of wood.

As to the maker, as Mike said, they ranged the gambit in quality. This one looks higher end. The high relief engraving is well done, reminds me of the high end guns produced by Victor Sarasqueta.

Best of luck, keep us posted on what you decide

Greg

Looks to me to be a model 111 which would make it Zamacola Hnos' top price point shotgun. I cannot read the barrel flats and so cannot tell for which purpose it was made. I do have a copy of a Zamacola catalog; shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll reply with the catalog as an e-mail attachment.
