I have obtained a few flats of Fiocchi GT20. I'm thinking about retaining them to load, mostly because STS is so expensive now and I've never been completely happy with 20ga AAHS.

Apparently, the Gulandi 'SG' series wad is preferred. It comes in 3 lengths, and the only economical way to buy them is by the 8K case.

The only 20ga powder available now is 572 or WSF. I have a supply of each, although I have yet to use any of the 572.

Both are dense powders, the WSF using a #17 bushing for my STS and AA loads, and the 572 apparently needing a #14 or #15. That's really dense and screaming for caution lest a double charge ruin the day. This concerned me with Perfect Pattern in 12ga using a #19 bushing but so far I have yet to blow my head off. These new excessively dense ball powders are concerning but apparently canister flake powder is near extinct. My kingdom for 100 pounds of Green Dot or 20/28.

I'm thinking the 'Long' version of the Gulandi SG is what I want for the Fiocchi hulls and 7/8oz of lead with 572 or WSF.

Agree? Anybody loading this combination? Be nice to buy the correct wads the first time.

I hate to even mess with euro hulls but the bastards are giving me little choice....

I've run into stack height issues w/ 572, nothing I haven't been able to overcome, but a pain nonetheless
