Hey all, my son Jim and I went out today with Addie of course.

Jim got one, but had to cut it short. So I carried on and was able to limit. Nice day, but windy. The birds were a bit spooky, but I managed it somehow. Addie did great BTW

Anyway, I used my 12b J. Blanch with those evil Damascus bbls.

Stay well my friends

Greg

Last month had a nice day at the partridge in Derbyshire. We shot through, bag of 109 birds to 8 guns, and then had a picnic lunch out of the back of our cars. Good company make these days as much as the birds flying well, the weather, the beating, the host or the keeper. This day was definitely one of those good days.

Take out the tailgate of the modern vehicle, and that photo could be from 100 years ago. Neat and proper dress for an Olde English shoot. Great picture.

If you blokes were to stumble upon me on one of my rough shoots, here in the new world, you’d likely be terrified. I mean that in the very best possible way.

Best,
Ted

Had a nice opener chukar hunting in Oregon. Spectacular weather, and even managed to run into some dumb chukars. My young setter Nigel had a great time also. I think this photo of him is painting worthy. Gun is a Neuman Bros. 16 that I was trying out for the first time after converting it to straight grip. Loved it. I especially like that I can open the action with the hammers back, which isn't common with hammer guns. An underrated feature in my opinion, as I find myself using it constantly.

Greetings from the Northsea! I love hunting doves under the trees they choose for sleeping. I picked up a Simson Suhl 16ga recently and I used it successfully. The only thing most German shotguns lack - in my opinion - is nice wood. Same with this one. Lovely engraving but boring wood. Maybe I‘ll change it.

All the Best

Great hunt in SE SoDak today with the 81 year old FIL. Walked 7 miles and wound up one bird short of a 2 man limit in 79 degree heat. I shot my Boss side lever 12 built in the era when Stephen Grant was managing the firm.

Owen,
Great hunt under trying conditions! I've come across many "high patina" vehicles when I hunted North Dakota years ago, making the hunt even more interesting.
