Hello Fellas, Does anyone know anything about this company? History? Quality? A local shop has one that looks very nice but I can't find anything anywhere about this Gun and it's maker. The gun itself tells me it's 12 gauge 2.5 inch chambers, imported, straight stocked with nice moderate engraving and fluid steel barrels. Thank you in advance.
Brad

The only Coltman I’ve seen was a Belgian imported gun of modest quality. Take a look at the proof marks. The Coltman I saw was an obvious attempt to cash on the Colt name who was at the time world famous. After that Coltman is not a major or even minor maker so let the gun speak to you. If you like it and think you can shoot it then pull the trigger.

I imported a Coltman years ago from UK. If I remember it certainly was English made.

It's Coltman for sure not Colton, It looks very similar to the Webley & Scott pic that Drew posted. I did find a mention of Coltman & Co. in Charles Carder's book on side by sides of the world but unfortunately there is little info (high grade listed in 1958 catolog by Elderkin and son). I'll keep rooting around and see if I can find more info. Thank you.

If I get it I could take some pics to send to someone, I'm not tech savy enough to post them but could send them.
