Love it! When I was growing up my dad hunted with a 16g NS. The receiver is pretty silver/gray now. When he died I got it. Then found a really nice 20g NS. Being 6’3” , I had to add a slip on pad to make it fit me , but shoot them I do. I’ve let Boy Scouts shoot their first SxS with them. Thanks for the post.

I have 12, 16 and 20 NS in high condition as well as a 16 that must have been a youngsters personal pride and joy based on his customization. That is the one I use. I am sure he is long gone but his gun still gets out and used on occasion as it should. NS are solid guns that are a bargain. NID's as well.

I had four NS's at one time, but like Walt, I'm down to just a .410 inherited from a friend who passed away. I've never shot it. Someone cut the stock back to 13 inches, for a child I assume. I've been on the look for a replacement stock for sometime now..
It's a standard version, 26 inch barrels.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

Since he spends his days next to his cousin, the A grade, he wondered if it wouldn't be an even better idea for both of the Fall Creek Lefevers to get out for a little sunshine. I didn't need much convincing and soon they both were cased and we were on our way.

It turned out to indeed be a perfect Nitro day, easy to be grateful for simple pleasures as well as glorious blessings, and the A grade, in particular, was so "on" that he got to shoot 25 pairs. Everybody came back to town smiling.

As we head into this week that is a high time for most of us, but for others not so much, I'm hoping for all of you as well as your friends and family a Nitro kind of Christmas.

Bob,

Instead of looking for the replacement stock you could honour your friend’s memory by keeping a look out for a youngster who could learn to appreciate and shoot with that 13” stocked .410.

He could actually do both. The time frame of a kid going from needing a 13” LOP to needing a longer one, is brief.

Don’t ask me how I know.

Best,
Ted
