I own a 425 and a GR3 in 12GA (no 626). Great guns, period. Only downside seems to be plain wood on most of them. Years ago, I found replacement wood for the 425 and solved that problem on one gun. The forends are a little fat for some tastes, but work well for me. Single trigger on the GR3 was flawless when I was using that gun a lot.

Since you listed a lot of choices, I presume you are generally looking for a nice Beretta 20. There are three pages of Beretta doubles on GB right now. Here is one that might fill the bill. There are a bunch o pricier 20's there also.

Thanks just missed what I was looking for on GI. Want a plain blued gun, not a silver receiver fan.

I have a 425 and a 626 Onyx, but both of mine are 12 gauge guns. I've never seen a 425 with a blued receiver, but I've learned to never say what Beretta didn't make. Still, I think it more likely that you would have to go to the GR series to find one that is blued. It doesn't really matter, as they are basically the same gun. The GR series was just made for Garcia to import.

The 626 is my primary gun, and I have lamented the fact that they quit making them. I don't know that you can find a better mass produced SxS, but I wish there were more available in more configurations. Good luck finding what you want.

There are usually a couple of 425s out there with double triggers, if you are into that kind of thing.

I’ve seen a few Beretta shotguns with separated monoblocs over the years, but, it can’t be a common issue, there are so many of them out there. Also heard about a few loose ribs on 409 Berettas, again, not common.

Best of luck in your search. The 20s are getting spendy.

Best,
Ted

Although most of the guns sold as Charles Daly from that same era were made by Miroku in Japan, some were made by Beretta. There was a Beretta-made sxs with a vent rib called an Empire Grade. I remember running across one of those at a gun show. The dealer was convinced it was one of the Miroku-made guns, but in fact (as the proofmarks established) was Italian. Same time period when Beretta was making their GR sxs.

Nice gun, but 12 gauge. IMO Short money for this:
