am reading a book "the gun and its development"by ww greener of the single trigger for sxs shotguns. the trigger is pictured by a drawing showing the trigger having fired the right barrel -- ready to fire the left barrel. does anyone here have any more pictures of the greener single trigger showing it in a series of picture working ect. anyone out there know if this trigger works as advertised or is it a troubled trigger. the only simple single trigger i have see is the one the savage stevens offered on the fox model B and maybe some models of the 311. the ithaca company offered a single trigger option on the nitro special and the western arms sxs shotguns similar in design to the savage stevens single trigger. anyone out there have any information they would share on the greener single trigger as pictured on page 500 of the greener book?

Never seen one , but Greener did have a bit of a habit of publicising ideas as actual inventions , like his O/U for example .

thanks gunman for your reply. the question about the greener single trigger is right out of the ww greener book -- the gun and its development. am really disappointed that this trigger may just be a "windy tall tale" from this British gun maker.

This discussion is not within my limited knowledge nor interest but somewhere in the cobwebs of my memory I think Franz Jaeger spent some time in the US installing his version of a single trigger in customer's double guns. My apologies, in advance, if this proves to be untrue or does not apply to your question.
