Anyone have any luck today? I went 0-3. Lost out on a nice boxlock and a pair of 12 bore by one bid. The Woodward 20 bore pair went for 38k sterling + comms and the 20 bore RA boss OU pair went for 160k sterling + juice. Wow!

I failed to get the nice boxlock ejector that I bid on. The gun sold for about twice it's estimate. If I find something like that again I'm going big.

Everyone has been talking about the end of the double gun market for the last several years, yet I lose out on guns at auction that I really want but the price goes ludricous. This happens at least once every two weeks or so. I used to buy what I wanted without worrying about price, but to me they have gone so high I won't do that anymore.

Some of the guns mentioned above are in reality form of art to be displayed at estates like paintings or statues, part of diversified investment portfolio. In many instances you are bidding against individuals with infinite financial means. The only limit is perception of their esteemed friends, not to be perceived as foolish.
