Talking with my reloading component supplier today he told me he was dropping all Alliant Powder products. He is done putting up with them. Last major shipment was over a year ago. Was told his order(s) were not going to be filled anytime within the next year. Being a businessman he has decided to no longer carry any Alliant products. There are a few very slow moving numbers he can still get, but their sales are nothing but a drop in the bucket. As he put it, a thousand pounds of the best sellers, every 18 months, is worthless to him when he needs ten times that much. His last shipment was gone in less than a week.

He has picked up another line of powders, European as it happens and increased his other powder lines inventory to give him more depth. I find it funny he can buy all the European made powders he wants and not US made powders. We have been told for years the powder shortage is due to government orders for Ukraine. At the same time the European powder makers have enough excess capacity to increase exporting to the US. Seems the local European makers are not supplying enough artillery shells to make their powders impossible to export.

I have enough Alliant Powders on hand to run me for a couple years so I wont care for sometime. I doubt the seller will refuse to carry Alliant Powders in the future, when they become available. He is a good businessman and wants to make money but he says he is fed up with their BS for now.

I cannot say I blame him. It would be nice to know the truth behind the powder and primer situations. It is clearly not the Ukraine or Gaza or any of the other bs they've been feeding us.

I would not doubt it had something to do with the last administration not wanting the public to have any thing related to firearms.

You're critical thinking skills are lacking this morning.

The Alliant trademark is now owned by a private equity firm.

If they have plans to continue with the brand remains to be seen.

They don't currently 'make' any powder any more than Hodgdon does.

Kudos to David Williamson for having the guts to openly recognize the extreme anti-gun attitudes of the Democrat Biden Administration.

Then, on the extreme opposite end of the intelligence scale, we have the stupid comment from the Nutty Professor, who is unable to connect the dots even when his Democrats are open and honest in their campaign websites or speeches about their intentions to infringe upon our Gun Rights.

Interesting that the Nutty Professor thinks massive amounts of U.S. manufactured powder going into munitions for the Ukraine and Gaza wars would not have an effect on supply and price. But I doubt he'd see the connection even if he taught Economics. It should also be remembered that costs for nearly all commodities increased dramatically due to the Inflation caused by Biden & Co.

In addition, the Nutty Professor is once again demonstrating that attaining a PhD wasn't enough to help him use the word "You're" properly. Of course, we have to consider that his RMP (Rate My Professor) rating was an abysmal 2.1 at Iowa State, and that 0% of his students would choose a course taught by him again. It shows. I'm surprised he even scored 2.1

Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug
