from Facebook: Master Engraver Geoffroy Gornet passed away suddenly on 3/15/2025. I knew him for his involvement in Darne shotguns. I never met him but talked with him on the phone. He seemed like a nice man very involved with his craft.

Geoffroy Gournet did indeed leave this mortal coil on 3/15/25. I knew him fairly well. He was a great engraver and a true gentleman. He was quite often a fixture at the Allentown show and always at Hauseman's Hollow NE SXS event in the spring.

Geoffroy did a custom Fox for me that was truly a work of art, a real treasure to be passed down to future generations of my family.

He will be misssed.
