Thanks for the help. The vendor's photos are so much better than what I could do.

You'll be surprised how easy it is to get used to a Jones underlever.

I have J. Burrows bar in wood hammered 12 gauge with the Jones underlever that I use for skeet on a regular basis.

I have become addicted to English hammered shotguns to the detriment of my wallet.

Would like to see photos of the water table and barrel flats. Also, J. Burrow? Any info?

The water table photos I will have to take with my phone so resolution will suffer.
According to information gleaned from auction sites (it was auctioned at Christie's in the UK 2004, again at Rock Island Auction 2023) this 1896 vintage was of late in the collection of a Mr. Malcolm King, a wealthy British businessman and gun collector, and of some repute in the big game hunting world.
J Burrow, Preston. Founded by James Burrow and began making guns in 1817, continued as a family firm until its doors shut in 1932 (from the internet).

If you don't have them already, search for the DGJ's with the "Finding out for myself" articles on reloading for the 2 7/8" 10 bores. Sherman Bell wrote them. Everything you will need to reload for your new hammergun. Russ

I was sorely tempted by that very pretty gun, glad you bought it. The underlever is easy to use - you will get used to it quickly.
