Thanks Mike, enjoyed that. I called Cyril out of the blue, years and years ago, as a newbie to hammer guns and he was very kind, taking time to share info with me. I had hoped to buy a hammer gun from him but I don't think I could afford what he had available at the time. His book is very well done.

At the end of the video they tell that he was born in 1897 and served in WW1. That's not the case as he was born in 1938

They just had the adams cup, my friend shot it it and said he felt the attendance was down. They use to limit it to 50 but said not this time maybe he felt 35. Maybe the price scared some off

Interesting video, Mike. Thanks.

Some years ago I was looking pretty hard for an exposed hammer, true pigeon gun. Never found one I could afford but in the process I spoke with Cyril about them. This was a little before his excellent book Live Pigeon Trap Shooting was published. He offered me one of his personal English guns but the price was just too high for this sharecropper. He was very patient with me and most helpful. He, along with Bob Brister, are two Texas shotgunners I regret never having been able to get to know.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

I keep hoping to find a copy of his Lock, Stock and Barrel book.

I have seen a couple at auction, but each time in a lot with about a dozen other books, mostly ones I already have.

The interviews featured in the video were interesting, but as a whole it lacked content. No features of the shooting, events, and other details that would encourage shooters to attend. I kept waiting for more but was disappointed

Not only that but the ending showing the wrong Cyril Adams was disgraceful. I do not now who did the incompetent research that showed Cyril Adams was born in 1897; maybe it was Krispy Knoem and the Fatherland Security.

Yeah. I noticed that too, along with probably everyone else. If you take the time to produce a video about a shooting event at least show some of the shooting
