I have come across a pinfire H. Kniepp cape gun for sale.
The left barrel is the smooth bore and 16 gauge. The right barrel has me stumped. the distance between the lands measure .575" the distance between the grooves measure .640" rifling is approximately. 0325" deep. The diameter of the chamber at the breech is .705.
Any idea what cartridge this might be? Base diameter just over .700 with a .58 cal projectile? Anyone know of a good company to have custom brass/pinfire cases machined?
Just trying to figure out what I might be getting myself into!

Sounds like a 16 Bore X 24 Bore w/ solid projectile. I don't guess the current custodian has an 24 gauge cartridges laying about¿

No he does not have a 24 bore cartridge.
Any one know of a good midwest/us company to send in a chamber casting for custom brass?

You might be able to adapt .577 Snider or Express Brass ( depending on your chamber length) by plugging the primer pocket and drilling a pin-hole and internal primer pocket for pinfire if you can’t find any 24 bore pinfire brass.
Is a 20 bore cartridge too wide to fit in?

I'll ask the seller to try a 20 bore.
Just looked at the Sammi spec for a 20 shell an the base diameter is said to be .6970.
20 bore sounds promising!
