robinpeck,
Great caliber and scope, my favorite barrel length. Show us all the markings and we can provide more info.

Just noticed that the head of the stock looks to have been pinned @ the factory.

Too, it appears the trigger-guard-bow needs a few more turns before it is lashed to the stock.

The postwar drilling was proofed in the Kiel (Eckernfoerde) proofhouse in 1961. The Bundesadler (Federal Republic Eagle) over N is the mark for Definitive Nitro Proof, if over an M it shows provisional black powder proof. Boehler Antinit is a type of stainless barrel steel made by the Firm Boehler. The "Supra" on the telescope is a brand owned by the Firm Nickel, if my memory is correct it was made in Wetzler. The chamber length is 2 3/4" which is the current American Standard, so there is no need to find 65mm shells. It will serve you well for many years, enjoy.
Mike
My memory was not correct, Nickel was made in Marburg, Hensoldt was made in Wetzler.

That is is nice, I hope it is as accurate as mine. Mine really likes PPV 139gr ammo, sub MOA. 173gr S&B is very close also.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I bought it (actually, mostly traded for it) to use as a trade item and hope to trade it for an Oberndorf Mauser Model M or Model S...my real collecting/shooting interest. We shall see.

So, are you looking to sell it or just trade?
